Brennen grew up in beautiful west-central Wisconsin in the Driftless Area. His childhood was filled with playing sports, with hockey and baseball being his favorites. Outside of sports, you could find him in the woods any chance he had. One of his fondest childhood memories is tagging along with his father on a turkey hunt before he was old enough to carry a gun. Hearing the woods come alive and the sound of an eastern gobbler echoing through the hardwoods is something a youngster never forgets.
After high school, Brennen attended the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management and Ecology, with a minor in Biology. While at UWSP, Brennen met Michael Mancl. The two quickly realized they shared a passion not only for hunting but also for filming their hunts. Shortly after college, they started a media company, Black Stamp Media, where they began producing an outdoor hunting show called The Breaking Point.
In 2013, Brennen packed up everything he owned and moved from Wisconsin to Iowa, driven by his pursuit of big whitetails. While Wisconsin offers excellent hunting opportunities, Iowa is in a league of its own—and not something Brennen wanted to wait every five to six years to experience by drawing a coveted tag.
Brennen now resides in eastern Iowa with his girlfriend, Heather; her son, Chandler; and their daughter, Lottie. When Chandler isn’t busy playing football and baseball, he and Brennen enjoy spending time in the woods together chasing deer and turkeys.
Whether it’s agriculture, recreational land, or simply the dream of living in the country, Brennen looks forward to serving you as an Iowa Land Agent with American Legacy Land Co., helping turn those dreams into reality.
